| The server has successfully been updated to version 1.8 of the module. As the list of changes has gone missing somehow, I cannot recall everything that was updated, changed, removed, and fixed. | Deleting unused characters | |
Since Land of Immortals: Apocalypse (version 2 of the module) went live we've not deleted a single character. Which means there are a lot of unused characters in the vault slowing the server down. In the past couple of days we've set up quite few new features to our database. Among them is a tracking device that shows us the last time a character has been logged in. We're going to prune the servervault soon. Which means we'll be removing the entire servervault and creating a new based on when a character was last logged in. All players should log in those characters they want to keep. Doing so will update the database and it will automatically be transferred when we recreate the servervault. All characters in the existing servervault will be backed up as a precaution, but for us to manually copy over 1300 characters is an almost impossible task considering our workload.
